 Welcome Reception with Science Slam
The Welcome Reception on the evening of 14 April will be anything but conventional. Bernhard Weingartner will guide you through the evening and present a live experiment that connects science and energy in a creative and engaging way.

Building on this, we will also introduce a new and engaging format this year: a Science Slam.
Pre-selected researchers from among our poster contributors will take the stage and present their work in just a few entertaining minutes each. Scientific clarity meets performance, humour and originality. This makes the Welcome Reception a great way to encourage conversations and connect with participants right from the start of ISEC 2026.
